Buyers can select a 10-speed automatic or a 7-speed manual gearbox, depending on engine choice. The 10-speed automatic comes with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters for manual gear changes. Meanwhile, the 7-speed manual includes an ultra-low crawler gear for use in tricky off-road situations.
All 2024 Broncos are four-wheel drive. Ford’s G.O.A.T (Goes Over Any Terrain) drive mode system is standard. Available modes depend on the trim choice and include Sport, Eco, Normal, Off-Road, Slippery, Mud/Ruts, Sand/Snow, Tow/Haul, Rock Crawl, and Baja. Buyers can get 35 or 37-inch tires, locking differentials, upgraded suspension, and electronic sway bar disconnect systems.
Jeep provides three engines for 2024 Wrangler buyers as well. The range starts with a 3.6-liter naturally aspirated V6 that makes 285 horsepower. Then, there’s a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder unit with 270 horsepower. Finally, a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 with 470 horsepower is available. Depending on engine selection, buyers are offered an 8-speed automatic or 6-speed manual gearbox. Various part-time four-wheel drive systems are available as well.
