Cab options for the F-150 include Regular, Super Cab (similar to a standard double cab), and SuperCrew (comparable to a regular crew cab). You can choose bed lengths of 5.5 feet, 6.5 feet, or 8 feet. Remember that not all bed sizes come with every cab style or trim.
A nifty new feature of the F-150 is a lockable bed storage box located right behind the rear right-side wheel well. If you don't have a generator onboard, you can also find an additional box behind the opposite wheel.
Two fresh wheel designs are also available for each trim level. If you want extra flair, the optional Black Appearance Package is available with the STX, XLT, and Lariat trims. Meanwhile, the Platinum trim now comes with standard blacked-out exterior and interior features.

The F-150 comes with two turbocharged V6 options: a 2.7-liter and a 3.5-liter. The smaller 2.7-liter cranks out 325 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque, while the beefier twin-turbo 3.5-liter delivers 400 horsepower and an impressive 500 lb-ft of torque. If you're looking for something without turbos, a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 gives you 400 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque.
One unique feature of the F-150 that you rarely see in full-size trucks is the optional hybrid setup that pairs with the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6. It adds an electric motor to produce 430 horsepower and an impressive 570 lb-ft of torque.
All models come with a smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission as standard. The base model runs on rear-wheel drive, but if you're into off-roading or just want extra traction, four-wheel drive is available.
The F-150 can haul a hefty 2,455 pounds when you go for the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 paired with a Regular Cab and rear-wheel drive. An optional Heavy Duty Payload Package is also available.
If you plan to tow, the twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 in a Super Cab configuration, with rear-wheel drive and the Max Trailer Tow Package, can give you a solid 13,500-pound rating. The hybrid powertrain has a maximum towing capacity of 12,700 pounds.
